A founder is deciding whether to take a large but difficult client.
Take the client only if they make you better at serving everyone else. The size is seductive, but size alone is the wrong question. A large, difficult client usually asks you to bend your product around their quirks, and a founder who bends too far ends up as a custom shop with one customer and a payroll that depends on that customer's mood. That is the opposite of building something that gets stronger as more people use it.
So ask what their difficulty is made of. If it is hard because their problems are real and common to a whole class of buyers, such as messy data, brutal compliance, or tangled approvals, then they are paying you to build the infrastructure your next fifty clients will need. Take it, and treat the pain as free research. If it is hard because of politics, bespoke demands, and a procurement team that wants exclusivity, walk away. You would be funding their private advantages with your scarce engineering time.
Also remember who you were before they called. Your best early customers are the smaller players the giants ignore, and they will evangelize for you in a way a reluctant enterprise never will. Do not let one big logo crowd them out.
