1. Who we are

authority.md is operated by Marketing Signals Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09767832, VAT number GB225235630), with registered office at 33 Harrison Road, Halifax, HX1 2AF, United Kingdom.

2. About these Terms

By using authority.md or purchasing any product from it, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or place an order.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. What we sell

authority.md sells digital thinking framework files in Markdown (.md) format, designed for use with large language model (LLM) systems such as Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI assistants. Each file is generated by AI based on publicly available information about the named individual or thinker.

Important: These files are inspired by the named individuals. They are not written, endorsed, approved, or affiliated with those individuals or their estates. We do not claim any commercial association with the people referenced.

The files are AI-generated, intended for educational, personal, and creative use, and may contain inaccuracies, paraphrases, or interpretations that do not reflect the named individual's actual views or work.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of UK VAT at 20% where applicable. Customers in countries outside the UK may also incur charges from their bank for currency conversion.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. By providing payment, you authorise the charge for the products in your order.

Volume pricing applies automatically at checkout: individual frameworks are $4.99, 4 for $14.99, 10 for $29.99. Carts of 5-9 or 11+ frameworks are priced on a sliding scale between these tiers.

5. Delivery

Files are delivered by email to the address provided at checkout, typically within 60 seconds of payment confirmation. If you do not receive your file within 10 minutes, please check your spam folder and then contact us.

For pre-orders (frameworks not yet in our catalogue), delivery typically occurs within 60 seconds of payment but may take longer. If we are unable to generate your requested framework for any reason, your payment will be refunded automatically and you will be notified by email.

6. Refunds

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase. However, this right does not apply once a digital file has been delivered to you, except in the following circumstances:

  • The file has not yet been delivered (we will refund in full).
  • The delivered file is materially defective or empty (we will regenerate or refund).
  • Generation failed and our system did not auto-refund — contact us within 14 days for manual refund.

Refund requests should be sent to hello@authority.md with your order reference. Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use authority.md and the files you purchase for lawful purposes only. You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the files without our written permission.
  • Use the files to misrepresent the views, statements, or endorsements of the named individuals.
  • Use the files to harass, defame, or harm any person or organisation.
  • Submit fraudulent payment information or attempt to circumvent payment.
  • Reverse-engineer, copy, or attempt to replicate authority.md's catalogue or generation systems.

8. Intellectual property

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the files you purchase for personal and internal business use, including loading them into your own AI tools.

The structure, design, and presentation of authority.md, including the catalogue compilation, branding, and prose copy, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights belonging to Marketing Signals Ltd.

The names of individuals featured remain the property of those individuals or their estates. Their inclusion in our catalogue does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

9. AI-generated content disclaimer

Our framework files are produced by AI language models (currently Claude by Anthropic). AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or representations that do not accurately reflect the documented work or views of the named individual.

The files are not professional advice — including but not limited to legal, financial, medical, psychological, or business advice. Use them as creative and educational tools, not as substitutes for qualified professional guidance.

You acknowledge and accept that AI outputs are inherently imperfect, and you use the files at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of authority.md or any product purchased from us is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by UK law.

11. Third-party services

authority.md uses the following third-party services to deliver our products:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Anthropic — AI generation of framework content
  • SendGrid (Twilio) — email delivery
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Google Analytics — usage analytics (only with your consent)

Each third party is responsible for their own service. We are not liable for outages, errors, or data handling by these providers, though we choose them for their reliability and compliance posture. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to authority.md at any time if we believe you have breached these Terms, attempted fraudulent activity, or otherwise misused the service.

You may stop using authority.md at any time. Files already delivered to you remain yours under the licence in section 8.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you additional rights.
