The mistake founders make with a large, painful customer is treating it as a revenue decision. It's a distribution decision. A big client that demands customization, slow procurement, and weird integrations is also handing you a free education in how the whole segment actually works, and, if you structure it right, a reference that opens ten similar doors. The question isn't "can we survive the pain?" It's "does the pain get productized or does it stay custom?"
