Quotes arrive in different formats and include different things. The lowest headline number often belongs to the quote that leaves out the most: delivery, training, support, or a renewal increase in year two. The choice then gets made on the number that was easiest to see.
Quote Comparison puts every quote on one scope and one time period, in a line-item grid. Silence in a quote is recorded as not stated, never as zero. It totals the real cost, adds the non-price facts, and gives you the questions that could change the answer.

How is this different from just asking Claude directly?
Asked cold, Claude compares the headline prices and recommends the cheapest. This builds a like-for-like grid, treats missing rows as unknowns to be priced, totals over the full period including renewals, and checks whether any quote is cheaper only because it leaves out a requirement.
How is this different from a Tool?
