Check the prices you have before you rethink the prices you want.
A periodic review of your current price list against your own costs and your recent wins and losses, with a hold, raise, trim, or investigate call on each item.
Prices set once tend to stay set. Costs creep, scope creeps into the same fee, and quotes keep getting accepted without a word. Nobody notices until a supplier raises their rates or a run of lost deals prompts a scramble.
Pricing Review turns a quarterly or annual check into a habit. It puts each price beside its current cost and margin, reads your wins and losses for evidence, and assigns one label per item. Every raise comes with an effective date and a plan for existing clients.
What it produces.
- →A price table with current cost, margin, and last change date
- →One label per item (hold, raise, trim, investigate) with the evidence behind it
- →Drafted actions with effective dates and a note for existing clients
- →A next-review date
- ✦Small-business owners who have not touched prices in a year
- ✦Agency and studio leads facing supplier cost increases
- ✦Operations managers who want a repeatable review
This Playbook reviews the prices you already have against your own records. It does not include the structural work in the Pricing Decision Tool: working the pricing levers, generating three distinct pricing structures, stress-testing your preferred one, and planning the customer migration. Use the Playbook for the routine check, and the Pricing Decision Tool when you are setting or restructuring a price.

Before you buy.
How is this different from just asking Claude directly?
Asked cold, Claude suggests raising prices and offers general reasons. This works from your own records: current cost, margin, quotes won without comment, and quotes lost for price. It labels each item separately and refuses to base a raise on a competitor's price alone.
How is this different from a Tool?
Playbooks are systematically produced to a fixed template and priced accordingly ($12.99). Tools are hand-built, one at a time, and go deeper ($39 to $199). A Playbook gives you a reliable method for routine work; a Tool is for when the judgment matters more than the format. This Playbook reviews the prices you already have against your own records. It does not include the structural work in the Pricing Decision Tool: working the pricing levers, generating three distinct pricing structures, stress-testing your preferred one, and planning the customer migration. Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?
Yes. You get a native Claude Skill (.zip) that auto-invokes in Claude, plus a plain .md you can paste into a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The procedure travels with the file.
