Explain where the cash went before anyone has to ask.
A 150 to 250 word narrative that explains this quarter's cash movement, built from your opening and closing cash and the main movements between them.
A cash flow statement says how much moved. The person reading it wants to know why, and whether it will reverse. When the summary only repeats totals, the reader fills the gap with guesses, and the guess is usually worse than what happened.
Cash Flow Narrative finds the three or four movements that explain most of the change, names the cause of each in everyday words, and labels each as timing, one-off, or lasting. It checks your arithmetic first and flags any part of the change the drivers do not explain.
What it produces.
- →A one-sentence headline of the cash movement, checked against your figures
- →Three or four drivers, each with a plain-English cause
- →A timing, one-off, or lasting label on each driver
- →A short outlook limited to what you have told it
- ✦Owners writing a quarterly note to partners or a lender
- ✦Finance managers who hold the numbers but dread the write-up
- ✦Bookkeepers briefing a client who reads summaries, not spreadsheets

Before you buy.
How is this different from just asking Claude directly?
Asked cold, Claude restates the totals in smoother sentences. This reconciles the movement first, identifies the drivers that explain it, separates timing from lasting change, and refuses to forecast beyond the information you gave it.
How is this different from a Tool?
Playbooks are systematically produced to a fixed template and priced accordingly ($12.99). Tools are hand-built, one at a time, and go deeper ($39 to $199). A Playbook gives you a reliable method for routine work; a Tool is for when the judgment matters more than the format.
Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?
Yes. You get a native Claude Skill (.zip) that auto-invokes in Claude, plus a plain .md you can paste into a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The procedure travels with the file.
Can I share this with my team?
It's licensed for your own personal and professional use. The output it produces is yours to circulate. To put the Playbook itself in the hands of a whole team, email hello@authority.md about team licensing.
What if it doesn't work for me?
If the file hasn't been delivered, or arrives defective or empty, we refund in full: see our refund policy.
