Operations · Playbook

Paste the rough notes. Get a numbered procedure with every gap marked as a question.

A first-draft standard operating procedure built from notes, a transcript, or a chat thread, with warnings sorted out and missing details flagged.

IncludedNative Claude Skill + plain .md for ChatGPT, Gemini & every LLM

The notes exist. Someone typed them on the day they learned the task, or recorded a voice memo while a colleague talked it through. They are out of order, they mix steps with opinions, and the one warning that matters is halfway through a sentence. Nobody has time to turn them into a document, so the notes stay where they are.

SOP From Notes sorts what you have into a header, numbered steps, a watch-for list, and a short done check. It does not smooth over silence. Wherever the notes skip who, where, how long, or what to do if it fails, it inserts a bracketed question, and it ends by checking that nothing was dropped or invented.

What you get

What it produces.

  • →A one-page draft procedure with trigger, owner, and finished state
  • →Numbered steps separated from warnings, tools, and links
  • →A bracketed list of every gap in the notes, written as a question
  • →A yes or no done check for the person following it
Who it's for
  • ✦Office managers who have notes but no documentation
  • ✦Team leads writing up a routine task before a holiday or hire
  • ✦Operators who need a usable draft today
Next to a Tool

This Playbook edits notes you already have. It does not interview you, so it will not find the steps you perform without noticing, map every decision branch, or test the result against a newcomer. The SOP Writer Tool does that work: it questions you step by step until the procedure holds up for someone who has never done the task. Use the Tool when the notes are thin or the task involves judgment.

Questions

Before you buy.

How is this different from just asking Claude directly?

Asked cold, Claude tends to fill gaps with plausible steps that your task may not have. This sticks to the notes you provide, flags what they leave out as questions, and finishes by reconciling the draft against the original so nothing is lost or made up.

How is this different from a Tool?

Playbooks are systematically produced to a fixed template and priced accordingly ($12.99). Tools are hand-built, one at a time, and go deeper ($39 to $199). A Playbook gives you a reliable method for routine work; a Tool is for when the judgment matters more than the format.

Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?

Yes. You get a native Claude Skill (.zip) that auto-invokes in Claude, plus a plain .md you can paste into a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The procedure travels with the file.

Can I share this with my team?

It's licensed for your own personal and professional use. The output it produces is yours to circulate. To put the Playbook itself in the hands of a whole team, email hello@authority.md about team licensing.

What if it doesn't work for me?

If the file hasn't been delivered, or arrives defective or empty, we refund in full: see our refund policy.
