Three follow-ups that add something. None of them say 'just checking in.'
A short sequence for a proposal that has gone quiet, matched to why you think it stalled, with send timing and a clean close.
A silent proposal gets 'just checking in,' then 'bumping this,' then nothing. Each message asks the buyer to do work and offers nothing in return, so the silence continues. Meanwhile the deal sits in your pipeline as hope.
Proposal Follow-Up first classifies the silence: busy, waiting on approval, unspoken doubt, or avoiding a no. Then it drafts three messages that each add something, surface the likely hesitation, and make a no easy to send. It also writes a note your contact can forward to an approver.
What it produces.
- →A one-sentence read on why the proposal went quiet
- →Three follow-up messages with send timing
- →A short forwardable summary for a second decision-maker
- →A stop rule so you know when to close the file
- ✦Consultants and freelancers with proposals sitting unanswered
- ✦Founders who dislike nagging but cannot afford silence
- ✦Sales teams that want a consistent follow-up standard
This Playbook writes the follow-up. It does not include the document review in the Proposal Review Tool: it will not check your problem statement, price order, or unaddressed objection. The Proposal Review Tool is for stress-testing a proposal against what the buyer actually decides on, before it goes out.

How is this different from just asking Claude directly?
Asked cold, Claude writes a polite check-in. This diagnoses the silence first, gives each message a different job, and ends with a close that gives the buyer a one-word answer, so the deal either moves or leaves your pipeline.
How is this different from a Tool?
Playbooks are systematically produced to a fixed template and priced accordingly ($12.99). Tools are hand-built, one at a time, and go deeper ($39 to $199). A Playbook gives you a reliable method for routine work; a Tool is for when the judgment matters more than the format. This Playbook writes the follow-up. It does not include the document review in the Proposal Review Tool: it will not check your problem statement, price order, or unaddressed objection. The Proposal Review Tool is for stress-testing a proposal against what the buyer actually decides on, before it goes out.
Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?
Yes. You get a native Claude Skill (.zip) that auto-invokes in Claude, plus a plain .md you can paste into a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The procedure travels with the file.
Can I share this with my team?
It's licensed for your own personal and professional use. The output it produces is yours to circulate. To put the Playbook itself in the hands of a whole team, email hello@authority.md about team licensing.
