The James Cameron
Framework
Technical Ambition & World-Building
James Cameron produced work that defined or redefined their medium through sustained attention to craft. James Cameron's creative approach, captured in this framework as mental models, decision heuristics, and the signature questions they would ask.
The technical ambition & world-building framework distils James Cameron's documented approach into a .md skill file you can load into Claude, ChatGPT, or any LLM in seconds.
Where most AI personas generate generic output, this framework is grounded in real documented work: interviews, writing, published frameworks, and the specific decisions James Cameron made when it mattered. Use it for decision-making, writing, strategy, or any situation where you want your AI to think with James Cameron's distinctive patterns rather than a default model voice.
A glimpse of James Cameron's thinking.
The story dictates the technology, never the reverse. If the tools don't exist to tell your story properly, you must invent them—even if it takes a decade and $300 million. Authenticity in fictional worlds requires obsessive attention to scientific plausibility and internal consistency.

What it does with a real question.
A founder is deciding whether to take a large but difficult client.
Take it only if the difficulty is the asset. A large, difficult client is either a tax or a forge, and which one it turns out to be depends on what they demand that you cannot yet do. If the pain is scope creep, late payments, and politics, you are being paid to absorb chaos, and that kills small companies. If the pain is a technical or operational requirement your competitors cannot meet, then the client is funding the development of a capability you would have had to build anyway, with someone else's money. That is the only version worth saying yes to.
So ask what the hardest deliverable in this contract actually is, and whether you could name it in one sentence. If you can, and solving it would make you the only firm that can serve the next ten clients like this one, sign. Build the contract around that milestone: staged payments tied to the hard part, a funded discovery phase, and a clause that protects your reuse of whatever you invent.
Then do the unglamorous math. If this client would exceed roughly 40 percent of revenue, or if you would have to bend your roadmap to their calendar, you are not buying a capability, you are renting out your company. Decline, or counter with a smaller pilot.
Next move this week: get the client's single hardest requirement in writing, and prototype it before you negotiate price. What you learn in that prototype is your leverage.
