A testimonial request that takes the customer two minutes to answer.
A short request, three narrow prompts, and an edit-ready draft built from the customer's own words, plus one follow-up.
Asking for a testimonial usually means asking someone to write a paragraph from nothing, for your benefit, in their spare time. Most requests are ignored, and the polite ones get a single warm line you can't use.
Testimonial Request lowers the effort. It picks the right moment, uses things the customer already said to you, asks two or three narrow questions, and offers a short draft to edit. It also settles how they want to be named and drafts one gentle follow-up, then stops.
What it produces.
- →A request message under 120 words with an easy way out
- →Three short prompts the customer can answer in a sentence each
- →A two-sentence draft built from their own phrases, ready to edit
- →A one-line follow-up for a week later
- ✦Freelancers wrapping up a successful project
- ✦Founders with happy customers and an empty proof section
- ✦Account managers who have asked before and heard nothing

How is this different from just asking Claude directly?
Asked cold, Claude writes a friendly request that still hands the customer a blank page. This finds the customer's own words first, builds a draft they can approve, keeps claims to what they said, and checks the message for pressure or any ask for a rating.
How is this different from a Tool?
Playbooks are systematically produced to a fixed template and priced accordingly ($12.99). Tools are hand-built, one at a time, and go deeper ($39 to $199). A Playbook gives you a reliable method for routine work; a Tool is for when the judgment matters more than the format.
Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?
Yes. You get a native Claude Skill (.zip) that auto-invokes in Claude, plus a plain .md you can paste into a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The procedure travels with the file.
Can I share this with my team?
It's licensed for your own personal and professional use. The output it produces is yours to circulate. To put the Playbook itself in the hands of a whole team, email hello@authority.md about team licensing.
