Don't take it on the terms as offered. A company is a block, and a block dies when one tenant pays so much more than everyone else that the whole building reorients around that rent. A large, difficult client does exactly that. Within a year your best people are working the hours the client demands, your small accounts get slower answers, and the variety that made the business resilient quietly drains out. Revenue will look like health right up until the client leaves or renegotiates, and then you will discover how many of your other relationships you let lapse.
The question isn't whether the money is good. It's what the company looks like at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday in month eight, and who is no longer present in it. If this client would consume more than roughly a quarter of your capacity, or force you to hire people who only fit this one account, you are trading an ecosystem for a dependency.
Difficulty also isn't one thing. Some clients are demanding in ways that teach you something and make you better for every other customer. Others are simply draining. Your people already know which kind this is.
Next move: before you answer the client, sit with the two or three people who would actually do the work and ask them what breaks first. Then counter with a scoped, time-limited engagement: a pilot with a capped share of your team and a price that reflects the strain. If they refuse any structure, you have your answer.
