Take the client only if it fits your frame. A large, difficult client is a load-bearing wall in disguise: it feels like structure, but it dictates where every other partition in your company can go. The question is not whether the revenue is attractive. It is whether your skeleton can carry this weight without being rebuilt around it.
Think of your company as a standardized frame with infill that varies. Your product, delivery process, and core team are the frame. The client's special requests are infill. A difficult client usually demands that you move the columns: custom features, bespoke reporting, a dedicated team that cannot be redeployed. Once that happens, every other customer is served by a building designed for one tenant.
So my position is conditional. Take them if you can contain the difficulty inside the infill: their demands get met through configuration of what already exists, in a defined unit of your team, on a fixed scope. Walk away if their demands require altering the frame itself, or if this one account would exceed roughly a quarter of revenue and thereby hold your pricing hostage.
