Three pricing structures, not one anxious number.

The Tool that takes your current price, your customer, and your competitors, works the levers that actually move willingness to pay, and gives you three real structures to choose between, each pursuing a different commercial outcome.

Most pricing is set by looking at a competitor, subtracting a bit, and rounding to something that ends in nine. That isn't pricing, it's flinching. Price is the strongest signal a buyer gets about what something is, and the shape of a price often matters more than the number. A single price invites comparison. Three tiers create a frame. An anchor changes what 'expensive' means before the buyer reaches the option you want them to pick. Pricing Decision works through the levers, anchoring, value pricing, decoy tiers, asymmetric tiering, then produces three structures you can defend: one that maximises revenue per customer and filters hard, one with a deliberate anchor that drives take-up of the middle, one tied to the outcome that changes the sales conversation. It names what each filters out and where each one breaks. It will not hand you the right number. It makes sure you chose the shape on purpose.

A worked example

What it actually does.

Worked example

You charge £1,500 a day and suspect you're underpriced but can't tell by how much. Pricing Decision separates what the buyer actually pays for (the decision they get to make with confidence, often worth six figures to them) from what you've been pricing (your time, capped at a number they can multiply). It produces three structures: an £18k fixed-scope engagement that filters out day-rate shoppers; a three-tier £8k/£18k/£35k set where the top tier anchors and the middle is the target; an outcome-linked fee. Then it argues against the one you're drawn to: the outcome-linked tier sounds aligned but your buyers can't measure the result cleanly and will dispute attribution in six months, so the structure that sounds most aligned is the one most likely to start a fight. It names the migration cost too, who churns when you change, because with existing clients the migration is the decision and the number is the easy part.

Questions

Before you buy.

How is this different from just asking Claude directly?

Ask Claude 'what should I charge?' and you get a number with a confident paragraph attached. Pricing Decision works the levers that actually move willingness to pay — anchoring, value framing, decoy and asymmetric tiers — and hands you three defensible structures, each for a different commercial outcome, then names what each filters out, where each breaks, and the migration cost of changing. It gives you a shape to choose on purpose, not a number to feel reassured by.

Will this work with ChatGPT, Gemini, and other LLMs?

Yes. Native Claude Skill (.zip) plus a plain .md that works in a ChatGPT Custom GPT, a Gemini system prompt, or any LLM. The full procedure is in the file.

Can I share this with my team?

It's licensed for your own use; the pricing structures it produces are yours to take to your co-founder or board. For rolling the Tool out across a commercial team, email hello@authority.md about team licensing.

What if it doesn't work for me?

If the file hasn't been delivered, or is defective or empty, we refund in full — see the refund policy in our terms. It's a structured-thinking tool, not financial, tax, or legal advice, and it won't hand you a guaranteed-correct number — it makes sure you chose the structure deliberately.
